Finland won a trophy at Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2019

The Finnish team, known as Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB, secured the champion of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) for their spectacular display at the final round on July 6’s night.

As a newcomer in DIFF 2019, the Finnish team beat its rival, the Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK out with their fascinating fireworks performance inspired by offshore fishing trips of Vietnamese fishermen.

DIFF 2019 featured five competition nights (held over five consecutive weekends) with a total of eight teams from eight different countries: Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italia, Vietnam, England and China.

The festival had its last night on July 6 where Finland and England, the two teams with the best pyrotechnic performances competed in the grand finale.

The trophy of DIFF this year went to Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB from Finland and the second prize went to the team Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd from the UK.

The Finnish team portrayed the story inspired by offshore fishing trips of Vietnamese fishermen through 10,000 fireworks along with the assistance of 100 computers to synchronize the light and the music.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is one of the world’s most well-known international fireworks festivals that brought thousands of viewers to Vietnam every year.

Last year, there were 7.6 million visitors including 2.87 million foreigners visited Da Nang making 23.3 percent increase from the previous year.
