At the moment IKEA has 16 stores, but their ambitious expansion plan will make this number grow with 3 stores every year, Danish national broadcaster DR reports.
IKEA entered the Chinese market in 1998 with a store in Shanghai followed by a store in Beijing in 1999. The company has been expanding and now have stores in 13 different Chinese cities.
