Indonesia and Finland set to boost digital growth

Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital, Meutya Hafid, met with Finnish Ambassador Pekka Kaihilahti to discuss potential cooperation in the construction of data centers, as Finland is one of the world’s leading countries in digitalization.

Meutya emphasized the importance of collaboration for accelerating Indonesia’s digital transformation. She highlighted the significance of knowledge transfer to ensure long-term benefits beyond investment.

“We welcome this collaboration, as Finland excels in digital innovation and Indonesia’s digital economy is rapidly growing,” Meutya said.

Ambassador Pekka Kaihilahti expressed Finland’s readiness to share its expertise in building efficient digital systems, offering training, technical assistance, and strategic partnerships.

He emphasized that this collaboration could significantly benefit both nations, enhancing Indonesia’s capacity to develop modern data centers and strengthen its digital ecosystem, especially in remote areas.
