Kemppi reinforces its presence in SE Asia

To support the growing South East Asian customer base, Kemppi has reinforced its presence with a brand new sales office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Kemppi Welding Solutions Sdn Bhd will be serving industries in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia with Mr. Cheng Soon Ong as General Manager.

This latest Kemppi Asia branch marks a continuation of the company’s strive to strengthen its customer service organization and market position in the highly competitive ASEAN market, expanding its operations to 16 countries globally. In 2010, the company successfully launched a production facility and subsidiary also in Chennai, India.
“We felt important to have representation also in South East Asia, since we have built a solid industrial customer base here. For many years we used to have a Rep. office in Singapore and we are absolutely thrilled to be opening a branch in Malaysia”, CEO of Kemppi, Anssi Rantasalo says.

Opening ceremonies were held March 27th, at the Grand Dorsett Hotel, Subang, Jaya.
Among the guest speakers were the Finnish Ambassador Matti Pullinen, Kemppi CEO Anssi Rantasalo and Kemppi Marketing and Sales VP Frederic Lanz with a guest appearance from the Finnish Williams Martini Racing Formula F1 driver Valtteri Bottas.
