Kings of Convenience to play Laneway Festival Singapore in January

As a part of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Singapore, the Norwegian indie folk-pop duo Kings of Convenience will perform at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay on January 26.

Famous for their delicate tunes and soft voices, the duo which consists of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, has become an international acclaimed band. After their break-through in 2001, the group has been touring the European, American and Asian continents and made fans all over the world.

Kings of Convenience has released three full length studio albums. Their first album Quiet Is the New Loud (2001) was very successful, and led to a follow-up album in 2004, Riot on an Empty Street. This album featured the song I’d Rather Dance With You, which topped MTV’s European list as the best music video of 2004. Their third album, Declaration of Dependence, was released on October 20, 2009.
