The colorful Finnish clothing and design company Marimekko just opened a shop in the streets of Shanghai. The store is located at the IAPM Mall at Huaihai Middle Road.
The opening is a great step into the Asian market and will be followed up by more shop openings in Beijing and later this year in Hong Kong
“Marimekko’s sales trend in the Asia-Pacific region has continued to be extremely strong. The enormous Chinese market clearly has room for new and attractive Nordic design brands,” comments Mika Ihamuotila, Marimekko’s President and CEO in a press release.
Furthermore Marimekko plans to open 15 to 24 new shops in its key market areas in Northern Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific.
