MK Illumination and Tema Design opening production in the Philippines

Press release:

Tema Design by MK Illumination and Tema Design, market leaders in the manufacture of themed concepts for the attraction industry worldwide have opened a world-class production facility in Pampanga Economic Zone, Philippines. The vast facility is to become the heart of the rapidly-growing companies’ manufacturing activities, allowing them to continue delivering high-quality, innovative products to clients across the globe.

The new facility in the Philippines

The new facility, which occupies a total area of 14,268m², has the capacity for up to 700 new employees across three buildings and has been finished to the highest standards to support the companies’ plans for growth. The largest of the three buildings is dedicated to production, and will house most of the production departments and processes. A second building is largely dedicated to product finishing, and will also house the packing and loading; animation and animatronics; and tailoring departments. The final building is the head office, where clients are received and where the management, design, IT, sales, support and administrative teams are based.

Although the facility itself is important, care has been taken to ensure that the working environment is world-class for staff, too. The facility has a canteen that can accommodate up to 100 people with a fully-functioning kitchen and a clinic with desks for a doctor and a nurse in case of emergency, as well as first aid facilities. And of course, the facility is equipped with all modern safety features like accessible fire exits in all departments, centralised fire detection and alarm systems, emergency fire hose cabinets and sprinkler systems.

All in all, we’re excited about our increased production capability and we’re looking forward to continuing to grow and deliver exceptional products to our clients across the globe.
