Mr. Sardar Umar Alam, the new UNESCO Representative to Cambodia, paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Maria Sargren, Sweden’s Ambassador to Cambodia at the Embassy on Thursday, 31 January 2019.
After serving as Head of Office of the UNESCO, 7-year in Myanmar and 2 years in South Sudan, Mr. Sardar Umar Alam is newly appointed as UNESCO Representative to Cambodia.
On Facebook, the Embassy expressed its warm welcome to the new UNESCO representative.
“The Embassy would like to wish Mr. Umar warmly welcome to Cambodia and is looking forward to continue our long and close cooperation, not the least within the fields of education, freedom of expression and access to information.”
