As demonstrations continue across Indonesia, the Danish and Finnish embassies in Jakarta have issued security advisories to their citizens. Large-scale protests, including in the capital Jakarta, have raised concerns about potential violence.

Both the Finnish Embassy and the Danish Embassy have urged citizens to keep a safe distance from protest sites, remain alert in crowded areas, and follow the instructions of local authorities. As well as highlighted the importance of monitoring local media and staying in contact with family or travel partners. Protests are expected to continue across Indonesia in the coming days.

Danes in need of urgent assistance can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Global Security Centre, which operates 24/7, at +45 3392 1112 or [email protected].

Finns are encouraged to make a travel notification through um.fi/matkustusilmoitus and can reach the Foreign Ministry’s 24/7 consular service at +358 9 160 55555 or [email protected] in case of emergencies.
