
The Nordic embassies in Manila have concluded a two-day Emergency Preparedness Workshop to improve coordination and safeguard Nordic citizens in the Philippines.
The initiative was led by the Royal Norwegian Embassy together with the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Sweden. The Philippines is among the most disaster-prone countries in the world, and the workshop aimed to enhance joint response capacity in times of crisis.
According to the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila, the goal was to strengthen collaboration between the Nordic missions and ensure assistance and support for all Nordic nationals residing in or visiting the Philippines.
The workshop underlines the commitment of the Nordic countries to provide effective emergency support in a region frequently affected by typhoons, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
