On the 26th-27th of April, Norway, Singapore, Germany and the Philippines will host the conference Green Shipping. Blue Business. Moving Forward Together.
The conference will deal with the topics of green shipping. The creators of the event describes it as “an opportunity for authorities, businesses and organisations from all ASEM countries to exchange practical experience, solutions, ideas and suggestions in this field. By promoting a green shift in all segments of the maritime industry, the conference also aims to contribute to the wider agenda of implementing the UN’s Agenda 2030.”
Noteable speakers are Ola Elvestuen, Norwegian Minister of Climate and Environment, Malini Shankar, Director General of Shipping at Government of India and Lisa Svensson, Director for UN Environment’s Ocean and Marine Programmes.
But in general the conference will feature high-ranking politicians and businessmen debating the future of shipping and how to adapt to a world in the need of a greener way to transport wares.
The conference will take place at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.
