Norwegian wanted for child abuse arrested by Philippine immigration in Manila

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) arrested a 42 year old Norwegian national, at its main office in Manila on 29 October 2025 while he was applying for a visa extension. 

BI officials said his name matched a derogatory record based on a request from Norwegian authorities.

According to the BI, the man is wanted by the Oslo Public Prosecutor’s Office for alleged sexual offenses against a child, reportedly committed over six years from 2014 to 2020. 

He is also the subject of an Interpol red notice. The BI’s Fugitive Search Unit implemented the arrest following verification.
