Ofiniti links Copenhagen and Singapore in digital bunkering drive

Ofiniti, a DNV company, on 5 March 2025 announced the appointment of Oliver Brix Sparsø as its new Global Director of Sales and the promotion of Emil Parmo Hansen to Global Sales Executive.

Ofiniti, a digital maritime solutions company spun out from Norwegian classification society DNV, has appointed Dane Oliver Brix Sparsø as its new Global Director of Sales and promoted fellow Dane Emil Parmo Hansen to Global Sales Executive. The announcement comes alongside the opening of Ofiniti’s new Copenhagen hub at Højbro Plads, strengthening the company’s presence in the Nordic maritime sector.

At the same time, Ofiniti is expanding its footprint in Asia through the acquisition of Singapore-based Angsana Technology, a pioneer in electronic bunker delivery note (e-BDN) solutions. Angsana was one of the first companies whitelisted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to provide e-BDN services — a timely move as Singapore is set to mandate digital bunkering from 1 April 2025.

Oliver Brix Sparsø brings extensive experience from commercial roles in the maritime sector, while Emil Parmo Hansen has been instrumental in driving customer adoption of Ofiniti’s FuelBoss platform. FuelBoss, already in use in Singapore, is designed to streamline bunkering operations with real-time insights and regulatory compliance.

“Denmark has long been a global anchor for shipping and maritime fuels, and this office will serve as our hub for deeper collaboration with the strong Danish maritime community,” the company said in a statement.

Ofiniti’s acquisition of Angsana, which includes the integration of its BunkerFlow and DocuFlow products, forms part of a strategic push to create a comprehensive digital ecosystem for fuel suppliers, vessel operators, and port authorities. The entire Angsana team, including founder See Lin Ang, has joined Ofiniti.

With shareholders including Singapore-based ShipsFocus and a Nordic family fund, Ofiniti is positioning itself as a bridge between Nordic maritime innovation and Asia’s rapidly digitalising ports.
