Philippines and Sweden to boost collaboration in key economic sectors

The Philippines is strengthening its economic ties with Sweden to attract more investments and boost growth in key sectors.

Swedish Ambassador Harald Fries and Trade Commissioner Johan Lennefalk recently met with Finance Secretary Ralph Recto to discuss partnerships in infrastructure, healthcare, energy, and digitalization. Sweden also showed interest in responsible mining and defense collaboration.

To support these efforts, Sweden is offering export credit solutions to facilitate trade and technology transfer. This will give the Philippines access to competitive financing for Swedish technologies.
