Danish Ambassador Jan Top Christensen, Norwegian Ambassador Bjørn Jahnsen and Swedish Ambassador Harald Fries jointly opened the first Scandinavian Film Festival 2019 at SM Lanang Premier, Davao City, Philippines.
Held on April 28, 2019, the opening night of the festival was supported by the Film Development Council of the Philippines together with the @Cinematheque Centre Davao and SM Cinema.
The event brought together representatives from Scandinavian countries, LGUs, local businesses, and the local Mindanao film community.
The 6-days Scandinavian festival was held from April 28- May 3, 2019. It offered Filipinos a vibe of Scandinavian culture, atmosphere and way of life in Scandinavian countries to promote cultural understanding and foster appreciation of the more than 20 featured European films.
