Study in Sweden Seminar at EF Shanghai

In cooperation with the Swedish company EF, the Consulate General of Sweden Shanghai arranged a Study in Sweden Seminar at EF International Language Centers on 7 January 2017. Around 40 students and parents attended the seminar, and received the information of study in Sweden and the application process.

Sweden is sustainable, innovative and home to the Nobel Prize. When you study in Sweden, you’re encouraged to think independently, creatively and critically. This independence of mind and the fact that everyone can make their voice heard are two of the reasons why Sweden ranks among the world’s most innovative nations, writes the consulate general.

Sweden has a long and proud history of academic excellence. Despite its relatively small population, it is home to some of the world’s best universities. The entire Swedish higher education system is ranked as one of the best in the world. Several Swedish universities are ranked by the Times Higher Education and the Academic Ranking of World Universities as being among the world’s best.

A short checklist for applications to the first round, autumn semester follows:
17 October – 16 January
Apply at Universityadmissions.se and pay your fee online (if required)

17 October – end of January
Send in supporting documents and pay application fee (if you haven’t already done so) by the deadline

Late March – April
Check first selection results and reply to your offer

April
Deadline for replying to your admissions and scholarship offers
Plan your accommodation

Middle of April
Second selection round

April – June
Pay first tuition fee instalment
Apply for residence permit
