
Sweden Days Taipei returned on 23 May for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing Swedish brands, culture and sustainability initiatives back to Taiwan.
The two-day event at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park was organized by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei and Business Sweden together with the Swedish Institute and Taipei’s Department of Cultural Affairs.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Helena Reitberger said the event aimed to showcase Swedish innovation and strengthen cooperation with Taiwan in business, academia and cultural exchange.
Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an said Swedish companies and culture were already closely connected to daily life in Taiwan, mentioning brands including IKEA, H&M, Ericsson and Spotify.
Participating Swedish companies also included Electrolux, Atlas Copco, Fjällräven, Hästens and SKF.
The event featured exhibitions, Nordic food experiences, sustainability activities, workshops and Swedish gaming displays including Minecraft, Candy Crush Saga and It Takes Two.
