Nordic cyclists join climate-focused ride in Shanghai

Cyclists from China and the Nordic countries joined a climate-focused ride in Shanghai promoting sustainable urban living and green lifestyles.

More than 100 cyclists from China and the Nordic countries took part in a sustainability-themed cycling event along Shanghai’s Huangpu River on 25 May.

The event brought together participants from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden living in Shanghai, alongside international schools and expatriate communities in Pudong.

Cyclists completed a 24-kilometre route focused on climate action, green living and sustainable urban development. The ride passed several landmarks including Expo Culture Park and Lujiazui Riverside Park.

Community booths and cultural displays were set up along the route to promote environmental awareness, cycling culture and cross-cultural exchange.

The Shanghai-Nordic cycling event is now in its third year and has developed into a platform for discussions on low-carbon lifestyles and sustainability initiatives.
