Sweden strengthens ties with Chinese army

Qi Jianguo noted that China-Sweden relations have undergone steady development since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1950, as evidenced by increasingly enhanced mutual political trust. The smooth development oft he relations between the two countries has laid a firm foundation for the friendly cooperation between the two militaries.

In recent years, the relations between the two militaries have been maintaining a good momentum of development, as evidenced by frequent high-level contacts and fruitful exchanges and cooperation in various fields. The Chinese side attaches importance to the mutual beneficial, friendly and cooperative relations with the Swedish side, and iswilling to make joint efforts with the Swedish side to constantly promote the relations between the two countries and the two militaries to a new high.

Salestrand said that Sweden attaches importance to the development of its friendly relations with China and the Swedish military hopes to work together with the Chinese military to seek closer pragmatic cooperation in such fields as peacekeeping exchanges and personnel training, so as to make contributions to maintaining world peace and stability.
