Swedish bands at Java Jazz Festival

This weekend, two Swedish bands have played at the 10th annual Java Jazz Festival, Asia’s biggest jazz festival. Magnus Lindgren, an Indonesia regular, performed for the the second consecutive year as part of the Nordic Sounds project that also performed in Bandung and Bali during the past week, and he will also perform at next weekend’s Bali Live festival in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Further, young Swedish funk-jazz trio Dirty Loops also played in Indonesia for the second time this weekend. Their upbeat funk jazz with creative covers of disco hits really rocked the crowd at Jakarta Expo this weekend.

Lead singer and pianist Jonah Nilsson said to the crowd: “We really love playing in Indonesia!”
