Business Sweden is organising a delegation to Singapore from 3 to 6 November, focusing on autonomous vehicles, smart infrastructure and electric transport.
The Urban Mobility Days programme will bring Swedish transport companies into contact with Singapore’s businesses, government agencies and research institutions. It coincides with the inaugural Singapore Urban Mobility Week.
According to Business Sweden, Singapore is exploring new transport technology to address workforce shortages, reduce emissions and make better use of limited urban space. Areas of interest include self-driving vehicles and electric logistics systems.
Building on transport cooperation
The planned programme includes visits, meetings with local organisations and a reception at the Swedish residence. Participants will also visit the Singapore Urban Mobility Week exhibition.
The visit builds on a 2024 agreement between the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, and Singapore’s Land Transport Authority. As ScandAsia previously reported, transport was among the areas covered by agreements during the Swedish King’s state visit that year.
Business Sweden’s published programme does not name participating companies. It says organisers will tailor the visits and meetings to the delegation’s composition.
