Swedish diving instructor hospitalized in Bali – needs help to get urgent blood transfusion

Swedish diving instructor, Johanna Franzon, has been hospitalized at Siloam Hospital in Denpasar, Bali. Her hospitalization is due to a parasite, that has caused her internal bleedings.

Johanna is right now in urgent need for a blood transfusion, but she is a blood type A- which is uncommon in Asia. The blood type needed is therefor unavailable at the hospital. Her friends and family are currently searching for people with the right blood type to donate blood.

“We have reached out on different Facebook-groups, and one person has already donated, but I’m afraid it is not enough, so we are still looking for blood donors,” says her friend and boss, Kira Strand.

Johanna lives and works in Bali. She is the diving manager, at the Danish/Australian owned diving center Amed Jepun Divers, located in Amed Beach.

If you are a blood type A- and you want to donate blood. You can contact Siloam Hospital in Denpasar.
