The Danish Embassy in Vietnam with the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, and Thai Binh Province jointly held several workshops to create complete plans for the development and implementation of a training program on tackling diabetes and hypertension for Commune Health Station staff.

The workshops were facilitated by Steno Diabetes Center Copenhagen. They were attended by participants from Thai Binh Department of Health, Thai Binh Centre for Disease Control, and Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Denmark and Vietnam have agreed to collaborate in advancing primary health care to tackle life-style-related diseases. The initiative was one of the many milestones set for the future to be accomplished in order to benefit people in the community and create greater impacts.
