Swedish Foreo expands in China – opening at new CNSC Chongqing store

The Swedish beauty tech group Foreo Global Travel Retail has sold 5.8 million products in the last five years, largely thanks to the brand’s popularity in China and now the group has opened another branded zone, this time at CNSC’s recently-opened post-arrivals duty-free store in Chongqing, China.

According to The Moodie Davitt Report, the branded-zone is the 12th that Foreo has opened with CNSC in China and the zone features a personalized gondola and full-back wall.

At CNSC’s new Chongqing store almost 160 brands are offered including cosmetics, fragrances, fashion & accessories, handbags, leather goods, food and confectionery, and other items. The official inauguration ceremony was held on 19 March, following a soft opening.

The new-look post-arrivals store enjoys a prime central business district location in Changjiahui Landmark Riverside Park, Chongqing’s first cultural tourism complex, which was opened in 2016. The lifestyle center, sited between the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, serves as an integrated destination for leisure, entertainment, travel, and shopping.

Gary Leong, Foreo Global Travel Retail Director commented that Foreo is extremely excited to open a new placement with CNSC adding, “With the pandemic throwing us into uncharted territory, we have managed to rise above the occasion with this new successful launch, and we hope there are many more to come. Our partnership with CNSC has been extremely fruitful, and a 12th counter is proof of our firm commitment to our customers and our partners alike.”
