Swedish Innovative Exhibition in Jakarta

The Swedish Institute, the Swedish government agency in charge of promoting Sweden abroad, has assembled “Innovative Sweden” – an exhibition showcasing the Swedish spirit of innovation and displaying the latest Swedish innovations from the fields of ICT, Life-Sciences, Gaming and Clean Technology.

Wearable camera for everyday photos, ocular control of computers and learning physics through gaming. These are some of the new products and inventions going on display around the world as fresh evidence of Sweden’s leading position in the innovation sphere.

Twenty young growth companies are included in this exhibition. The international tour started at Stanford University, Silicon Valley, 2011 and went on int he US, Canada, Brazil, China, Germany, Japan and Korea. In 2014 the tour continues in Asia, starting in Jakarta in May.

 Business Sweden (the Swedish Trade & Invest Council) and the Indonesian International Institute for Life-Sciences (i3L) will, with the support of the Embassy of Sweden in Jakarta, arrange a number of events – seminars, workshops and contests together with a number of companies, agencies and organizations. These events will take place between May 6th and June 5th, ending with a Swedish National Day Celebration.

The programme includes a wide range of topics with the presence of international and national companies, organizations, agencies and universities to jointly explore opportunities and promote collaboration. As part of the programme, an extraordinary Nobel dinner event will be organized in Jakarta highlighting the significance of the Nobel Prize – the most prestigious award available in the fields of literature, medicine, physics, chemistry, and economics.
