Swedish man takes wrong turn — onto Singapore F1 pit lane without a ticket

Singapore Grand Prix weekend 2025 drew in 300,641 spectators — the second-highest attendance in the race’s 16-year history

A 22-year-old Swedish man has been charged in Singapore for entering the 2025 Formula 1 Grand Prix without a valid ticket and trespassing into restricted areas, including the pit lane and Paddock Club.

The man, identified as Alkallas Karam, was charged in court on 6 October with three counts of criminal trespass. According to court documents, he entered the race venue via Gate One at Republic Boulevard around 7:47 p.m. on 4 October, later making his way into the Paddock Club and the pit lane area at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.

Under Section 447 of Singapore’s Penal Code, criminal trespass carries a maximum penalty of three months in jail, a fine of up to S$1,500, or both. Karam’s bail was set at S$5,000, and he is due to appear in court again on 3 November.

The incident occurred during the Singapore Grand Prix weekend, which this year drew in 300,641 spectators — the second-highest attendance in the race’s 16-year history.
