Swedish Minister for Health and Social Affairs to visit China

A healthcare delegation headed by the Swedish Minister for Health and Social Affairs, Mr Göran Hägglund, will visit China between 14 – 18 April.

Minister Hägglund will have a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart at the National Health and Family Planning Commission, Minister Li Bin, on 15 April. Later the same day the Hägglund will attend a Sino-Swedish Seminar on value based health care in Beijing. He will also make a visit to the China Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. On 16 April a meeting is scheduled with the State Food and Drug Administration before moving on to Shanghai for more activities.

The delegation consists of representatives from the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, the Medical Products Agency, Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control, Growth Analysis and Karolinska Institute.

The visit is organized by the Swedish Ministry for Health and Social Affairs, Embassy of Sweden in Beijing and the Swedish Consulate General in Shanghai in collaboration with Business Sweden and Swecare.
