Telenor Myanmar expanded its service in Malaysia and Singapore

Telenor Myanmar, a subsidiary of the Norwegian Telenor Group, expanded its non-stop international data roaming service to Malaysia and Singapore, the countries that Telenor Myanmar’s customers travel commonly, according to Telenor Myanmar’s press release on 13 March 2019.

After launched the new data roaming service in Thailand last month, Telenor got a positive feedback from its customers travelling to Thailand and now the service is available in two more countries: Malaysia and Singapore.

With the same subscriptions medtod in Thailand, both Telenor prepaid and Star postpaid customers can activate the promotion on MyTelenor App or dial *979*2*5*6# for prepaid users and for star postpaid users, dial *999*1*1*12#.

All Telenor SIM card holders can use unlimited internet with just 999 Kyats or 0.66$ for 3 days when they are in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Speeds are uncapped for the first 1GB per day, and then shaped to 512kbps.

Amaresh Kumar, Telenor Myanmar’s Chief Marketing Officer said “we are amazed by the support we have seen on our latest roaming product for visitors to Thailand. So we decided to extend this popular service to Malaysia and Singapore which we know as the other two most frequently visited countries in Southeast Asia,”

“We have made international roaming affordable for everyone and we welcome our customers to experience the only worry-free data roaming packs that users can get in Myanmar.”

  1. I use Telenor sim for more than 8 years and suddenly I can’t send messages or make a call and I can’t contact them 🥲please I want to activate my sim card again
