Thai cabbie returned 13,000$ to Danish tourist

Thai taxi driver was praised after he showed his honesty by returning more than 400,000 Baht or about 13,000$ to Danish tourist on Monday, 18 March 2019.

According to Suthirawat Suwannawat, Managing Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, he told that Somsri Ralat, the taxi driver, picked up a Danish passenger and his Thai wife from the airport and was taking them to the hotle in Bangyai district.

After Somsri dropped off his passengers at the destination, he returned to the airport and found out that the passengers had left their belonging at the back seat of the taxi.

As soon as he realized the passengers’ belonging was in the back seat, Somsri contacted the officers of the airport so that they can help in serching for the passengers.

Later, the couple had returned to the airport and re-united with their back containing 400,000 baht cash, a credit card and personal documents.
The couple praised the driver for his good action and said that they were impressed very much by the honesty of the driver.

Suthirawat also commented that the act of the driver can bring good reputation for Thailand and can encourage foreign tourists to travel to Thailand even more.

Lastly, passengers who took a taxi from Survanabhumbi airport and left their belongings in taxi can contact the Taxi Service Center, on 02 132 0360 or the AOT Contact Centre on 1722, 24 hours a day.
