Thai-Danish beauty queen Anntonia Porsild joined Team Philippines during the 2025 Southeast Asian Games opening ceremony in Bangkok. The Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up carried the Philippines placard at Rajamangala National Stadium on 9 December.

Porsild walked alongside Filipino flagbearers Alex Eala and Bryan Bagunas as Thailand hosted athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations. Thai beauty queens served as muses for each country, giving the parade a strong cultural and regional flavour.

Only around 300 Filipino athletes took part in the ceremony because of security protocols linked to the presence of King Maha Vajiralongkorn. The Filipino contingent wore outfits from Avel Bacudio’s “Laro ng Lahi” collection.

The 2025 SEA Games will run in Thailand until 20 December.
