A Thai delegation is visiting Sweden and Denmark this week to explore closer cooperation with Nordic innovation ecosystems as part of the Thai–Nordic Innovation Co-Creation Platform 2026.
The initiative is organised by Thailand’s National Innovation Agency and the Thai-Nordic Innovation Unit at the Royal Thai Embassy in Stockholm, in cooperation with Stockholm innovation hub Epicenter.
The delegation includes representatives from the National Innovation Agency, SEA Bridge, Techsauce, Thailand Deep Tech Accelerator and the Technology Management and Innopreneurship Program.
The programme focuses on Health Tech and Food and Agri Tech, with discussions centred on technology transfer, knowledge exchange and the joint development of solutions between Thailand and the Nordic countries.
Thai Ambassador to Sweden Arunee Rungthip Humphreys met the delegation in Stockholm on 4 September to discuss opportunities for closer innovation cooperation.
The delegation also visited Epicenter, where it was introduced to Sweden’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
The initiative is intended to create opportunities for Nordic companies and startups to enter the Thai market, while allowing Thai businesses and innovators to access Nordic expertise and networks.
Thailand is positioning itself as a potential gateway to the wider Southeast Asian market, with the embassy highlighting the country’s manufacturing base, established supply chains and access to an ASEAN market of more than 680 million people.
The delegation is scheduled to meet innovation leaders and experts in both Sweden and Denmark during the programme.
