Thai Vegan Kitchen formerly known as Thiitsoob is special in many ways. First of all, it operates out of a food truck that visits different locations around Helsinki, Finland.
The food truck has a very distinct appearance. They have their own chairs and tables, their own spice boxes and their chili is grown in outside pots. The truck itself is plastered with animal rights stickers and decorations as well as vegan ideological motives. In addition, members of a vegan union are promised a 10% discount.
The restaurant is very popular in the vegan community with some of the vegan social media groups claiming that the food truck is serving the best vegan food in town.
Finnish food critic, Venla Rossi, is likewise impressed with the culinary performance. She among others highlights the Som Tam and the papaya salad as an example of very well-balanced and delicious dishes.
Thai Vegan Kitchen food truck plans to move to another destination. The current location can be found on their Facebook site.
