Vietnam blind association praises Norway and Sweden

Yesterday, the Viet Nam Blind Association held a workshop to spotlight a common predicament of many blind people in Viet Nam. While calling for help from international organizations, Swedish and Norwegian organizations were praised for their assistance over the past years.

VBA president Cao Van Thanh, made the call at a workshop held in Ha Noi yesterday to spotlight a common predicament of many blind people in Viet Nam. Many, especially those living in mountainous and rural areas, are unemployed and are dependent on their families.

At the workshop, the VBA praised international organizations that had given assistance to it over the past years.

Among them were the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted, the Swedish Association of the Visually Impaired and the Embassy of Japan in Viet Nam.

The workshop was held with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.
