On Thursday 6 February, Vietnam–Sweden Uong Bi Hospital in Quang Ninh province, which was established in the early 1980s with assistance from Sweden, donated 200 Tet (Lunar New Year) gift packages to patients in vulnerable situations, according to Báo Quảng Ninh.

Each gift package was valued at 500,000 VND and was provided in coordination with local organisations and benefactors. In addition to the donations, the hospital organised a Tet market with 14 stalls selling agricultural products, confectionery, and beverages.

All proceeds were allocated to patient support activities during the Lunar New Year period. The hospital also prepared around 60 traditional sticky rice cakes (bánh chưng) for inpatients and arranged volunteer services, including free haircuts and transport assistance.
