Minister for Trade and Investment Pia Olsen Dyhr welcomes cooperation with TCL and see great opportunities for closer cooperation between Danish design and the Chinese manufacturing industry: “There is great potential in linking the Danish design cluster and the Chinese manufacturing industry. When a company such as TCL, which sends more than 10 million TV sets on the market each year, is looking for partners within design, we must work to ensure that they primarily think of Denmark. That can for example be achieved through this type of competition that ensures international exposure of our design institutions.”

“At the same time, Danish students have a unique opportunity to learn from the Chinese and gain the global outlook, which is crucial if we wish to remain innovative and internationally competitive within the design industry in the years to come.”
