The green economy transition of Denmark

At the seminar which was part of the Penang Trade and Investment Forum, hosted by Invest Penang on November 21st in Malaysia, the Ambassador of Denmark gave a presentation on “The green economy transition of Denmark”. The Forum was well-attended by around 150 people.

 

In the presentation it was highlighted, among others, how the Danish economy has almost doubled during the last 30 years, while the use of energy has remained constant and emissions of CO2 has been reduced. Some of the Danish green policy goals is to supply half of the electricity consumption by wind already in 2020 and by 2050 to cover Denmark’s entire energy supply by renewable energy.
