Young Malaysian Chefs won prize in Swedish cooking

As part of the campaign Sweden – A Great Food Nation – the Embassy of Sweden in Kuala Lumpur organized the competition The Young Chefs Challenge in collaboration with Berjaya University College of Hospitality and Management.

The purpose of the competition has been to promote upcoming young chefs by giving them the opportunity to show their talents and creativity in Swedish cooking.

The 1st Prize of the Young Chef Challenge was won by Mr. Lee Jen Kwok and Mr. Andrew Tan of YTL International College of Hotel Management. The prize constituted RM 3000 cash, a stay in a Hilton Deluxe room including breakfast for two and a dinner voucher for two, Electrolux Stand mixer, a Swedish cook book and a Crystal bowl trophy.

The 2nd Prize (team event) winners were Mr. Muhd Syrille Yoon and Mr. Mohamed Bokhari Khan of YTL International College of Hotel Management. They were awarded RM 1200 cash, dinner vouchers at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, a Swedish cook book and a Crystal bowl trophy.

The 3rd Prize (team event) went to Ms. Azureen Bt. Asmie and Chan Min See of Berjaya University College of Hospitality. The 3rd Prize included RM 1000 cash, a buffet dining voucher at Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur, a Swedish cook book and a Crystal bowl trophy.
