EuroCham Green Economy Seminar

EuroCham in Indonesia recently organized another Green Economy Seminar, which is part of the Green Seminar Series. The seminar took place Thursday 22 March and was opened by the Chairman of EuroCham, Jakob Friis Sorensen.


Speakers at the seminar included, Mr. Arief Heru Kuncoro from Ministry of Environment, Mrs. Husna Zahir from Indonesian Consumer Organization (YLKI), Mrs. Liana Bratasida, Adviser to the Minister of Environment and Mrs. Laksmi Dhewanthi, Deputy Minister for Environmental Governance, Ministry of Environment.


“From the seminar we can conclude that government is putting significant effort in concerning environmental issues by giving incentive to attract companies to implement the green environment concept. In this context the companies presented at the seminar highlighted the importance of continued dialogue between government and private sector in order to make the new initiatives feasible from a business point of view as well,” writes EuroCham.


From EuroCham’s side the dialogue will continue with the government on these issues which is the key for the future of Indonesia as a sustainable and prosperous economy.
