On Tuesday, The Danish Embassy, Development Counsellor Ulrich Sorensen and Commercial Counsellor Bo B Rasmussen, participated in the launch of UN’s Global Compact conference in Yangoon, Burma.
The purpose of the conference was to put focus on how to conduct business in a responsible manner.
The opening remarks were given by UN Secretary General H. E. Ban Ki Moon, who underlined the importance of incorporating private industry in a responsible and sustainable development of Burma.
15 companies from Burma signed up and promised to follow Global Compact.
