The Consulate General of Finland in Guangzhou is due to a closure by 1 August 2012. The Consulate will move to a temporary location on 1 July 2012 having all its customer services cease on 29 June 2012.
Once they have moved, the Consulate will only be available through email at the address: [email protected]. All previous contact numbers will be cut off.
As a part of the gradual shutdown, applications for visas, residence permits and passports as well as notaries, have not been received after 31 May 2012.
The Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou will represent Finland in Schengen-visa applications from 1 July onwards.
The residence permit applications have to be submitted to the Embassy of Finland in Beijing, also the pending residence permit applications will be transferred to the Embassy. The notary services are provided by the Embassy of Finland in Beijing. The Finnish citizens can submit their passport applications in any Finnish mission that has right to issue passports.
