In cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden in China, Sweden’s official website in Chinese – Sweden.cn – and the Consulate General of Sweden are inviting creative Chinese citizens to capture Swedish innovations through their camera lens and enter the photography competition “Swedish inventions through the eyes of Chinese”.
The competition is part of the exhibition “Innovative Sweden” which is currently running at Tsinghua University in Beijing on 12 – 26 September and will also be held at Tongji University in Shanghai on 2 – 28 November.
Chinese citizens can enter the competition by submitting photos taken by all kinds of camera lens from professional photo equipment, snapshot cameras to a mobile phone camera.
Chinese photographer Liu Sha and representatives from the Embassy of Sweden, Consulate General in Shanghai, Sweden.cn and the Swedish Institute will pick 30-50 finalists, who will have their photos published in a photo book on Swedish Innovation. In the end the public will be invited to vote for the best photo. Attractive prizes will be offered to winners. A trip to Sweden will be awarded to the number one winner.
The names of winners will be announced at the opening of the exhibition ‘Innovative Sweden’ in Shanghai, where all finalists’ photos will also be on display.
