Norwegian furniture brand Stressless, famous for their comfortable reclining chairs, presented their latest model, Voyager, at the 18th China Furniture Expo on 12-15 September 2012 in Shanghai.
Siri Borgen, Consul at the Norwegian Consulate General, Ying Kang, president of Yun sheng Group and Mikel Ong, regional sales manager from Ekornes, manufacturer to the Norwegian furniture brand Stressless, all attended the opening and held speeches to mark the occasion.
The Stressless showroom under the Furniture Expo provided visitors with a taste of Norway. A whole fresh Norwegian salmon was prepared and served up by a chef for visiting customers, while a bartender showed his skills with Linie Aquavit. The Norwegian culinary were accompanied a poker magic show presented by Shao Mei Lin, previous participant of the China’s Got Talent.
Stressless has since its introduction to the international market in 1971 gained worldwide recognition and is one of the world’s most famous furniture brands. While products are manufactured at seven factories in Norway, they are sold in large parts of the world through a network of wholly owned sales companies in selected markets.
Ekornes entered the Chinese market in 1997. Under the management of Mr Ying Kang and Yun Sheng Group, Stressless is today displayed at over 50 showrooms all over China.
