Top-selling Swedish House Mafia set to play ‘One Last Tour’ in Malaysia

Clubbing in Malaysia doesn’t come any better and the confirmation of many a rumour is that Swedish dance giants Swedish House Mafia (SHM) have selected Malaysia as one of the last newly-confirmed gigs for their final tour before heading their separate ways, writes The Star Online.

The final leg of their massive One Last Tour commences in a week and Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, Bandar Sunway, has been confirmed as their Malaysian stop on Jan 18, 2013, with tickets going on sale last Friday.
This will be the trio’s first appearance together in Malaysia, with Axwell having made a solo DJ appearance in Kuala Lumpur a few years ago.

In the short space of four years, the Swedes — Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso — have combined their already prolific individual talents into one of dance music’s most commercially successful and intriguing brands.

Forbes’ list of the Top 10 biggest earners in dance music, called the Electronic Cash Kings list, ranked them the third highest earners in EDM.

The list was topped by Dutch legend Tiësto, whose annual earnings were estimated at US$22mil. SHM’s estimated annual earning were put at US$14mil.

With six widely successful singles in two years, SHM dominated traditional music, with their latest release Don’t You Worry Child(featuring fellow Swedish vocalist John Martin), famously denying the new James Bond movie theme from British songstress Adele, Skyfall, a British chart topper just last month.

The trio have already informed fans of the reasons behind their forthcoming “retirement”, saying that they decided to call it a day because they did not know what their ‘next move’ would be.

Organised by JS Concerts, limited early bird tickets will be made available from 10am today and are priced at RM203 for Party Zone (RM 253 normal pricing) and RM123 for Chillout Zone (RM153 normal pricing).

They can be purchased at the following outlets — Rock Corner, KLCC, Subang Parade, The Gardens, Midvalley Megamall, The Curve and Victoria Music Centre outlets.
