The official inauguration of SWEA Kuala Lumpur followed immediately after the Regional SWEA meeting in Singapore 6-9 October. The opening took place at a function at the residence of the Swedish Ambassador H.E. Bruno Beijer with his wife Mrs. Lena Beijer as the perfect hostess.
SWEA Kuala Lumpur was officially declared open by a ribbon cutting session with International President of SWEA, Ms. Christina Moliteus, and the President of SWEA Kuala Lumpur, Ms. Susanne Rapp, holding the scissors.
Also present were the Regional President Asia, Ms. Elisabet Halling from Japan and most members of SWEA Kuala Lumpur who had a wonderful evening enjoying Swedish smorgasbord and good company.
SWEA now has 8 chapters in Asia: Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing, Bangkok, Perth and finally Kuala Lumpur.
