Telekomsel picks Nokia for network expansion

Indonesian operator Telekomsel has picked Finnish telecom multinational Nokia as supplier when it is about to expand its packet network in Indonesia.
     The deal enables Telekomsel to address strong demand for mobile voice and data services from its subscribers that currently stands at 17.5 million users.
     Nokia has worked with Telekomsel since 1996 and provided GSM, GPRS and EDGE infrastructure and turnkey services to the operator’s networks.
