Thai students arrive in Sweden for post graduate studies

36 Thai students recruited from universities from all over the country will arrive in Sweden this Thursday for studies at universities in Kalmar and Västerås.
Most of them, 31 students, are attending a one year course in Västerås´ Mälardalen University leading to a master degree in international marketing. The Kalmar-bound group of five also takes a one year course, which after conclusion will land them with a master degree in international leadership.
All students have been enrolled in a preparatory programme in Bangkok, with Swedish academics as lecturers, over the summer.
Sweden has during recent years received an increasing number of Thai students for higher education. This trend is likely to continue over the coming years, as new initiatives to boost educational ties between the two kingdoms have been taken the last year.
