Major Danish Companies Join Marine Delegation

According to the homepage of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, the Danish marine industry is showing a strong interest in Vietnam. The delegation will visit shipyards in Ha Long and Hai Phong and participate in a high level seminar with the Vietnamese counterparts.
         In the coming months there will be a strong Danish focus on the Vietnamese marine sector, which is rapidly developing. 13 major Danish companies have confirmed their participation in the marine delegation to Vietnam 14-18 November 2005.
         “Our Vietnamese counterparts have taken note of this very strong display of interest from the Danish marine industry.  At the Embassy we look very much forward to assist in the biggest ever Danish-Vietnamese match making event within a single sector,” says ambassador Peter Lysholt Hansen.
         The delegation consists of: Aalborg Industries, Ellehammer, Fabricius/Sea Saigon Shipping, J.Lauritzen,  Hempel, Logimatic Software, Lyngsø Marine, Maersk Sealand, Ro-Clean Desmi, Semco Callenberg Marine, Thrane & Thrane, York Fire Fighting, MAN B&W Diesel.
         The Export Credit Fund (EKF) and the Industrialisation Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) and HSH Nordbank will also participate.
         During the visit a high level seminar will take place with the senior management of Vietnams Shipbuilding Corporation VINASHIN and Vietnamese companies involved in the sector. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan, The VINASHIN president Phan Thanh Binh and other senior Vietnamese representatives are expected to meet the Danish companies.
         The delegation will also visit three major shipyards in the northern part of Vietnam.
