Sweden’s Submarines is Considered Selling to Singapore

Singapore’s Defense Ministry is considering to buy Sweden’s Vastergotland-class submarines which is planed to be retired from Royal Swedish Navy to replace some units in their navy, said on 29 September.
         “The Ministry of Defense is now considering whether this might provide the Republic of Singapore Navy an opportunity to enhance its submarine capabilities by replacing some of its Challenger-class submarines with the Vastergotland-class submarines,” a statement issued by Singapore’s Defense Ministry says. 
         Singapore has already acquired four second-hand submarines, formerly known as the Sjoormen class, from the Royal Swedish Navy.
