SAS Ready to Sell Sub-Company to Singapore

SAS is working overtime these days in an effort to sell off their maintenance company, SAS Component Group, to Singapore Technology. This has been confirmed by Mr. Bertil Ternert, who is the head of SAS’ communication department at the headquarters in Stockholm. The maintenance company has 1075 employees, of which 550 are based in Copenhagen, and it is expected to have a value of two billion kroner. SAS has been trying to sell this sub-company for more than six months, but now it looks as if they are so close to closing the sale that it can be announced within a few days. SAS is due to have a board meeting on Thursday this week, and according to Norwegian daily Stavanger Aftenblad a specific offer is likely to be discussed then.
