The owner and director of Bonus Travel has gone missing along with the money of the agency’s customers, who thought they had purchased a vacation in the Philippines. By Thursday and Friday last week, the Copenhagen Police department started receiving several reports from people who had shown up full of expectations in Copenhagen Airport only to find out that their seats had never been booked with the airlines. All of them had booked their travels through Bonus Travel.
The owner of the travel agency was of Philippine descent, but residing in Denmark, before he decided to escape. The agency’s customers are mainly other Philippine natives, people who are married to one, or have other relations to the Philippines, writes the Danish daily BT, and so far more than 25 customers have pressed charges.
The Criminal Inspector of the Copenhagen Police department, Mr. Per Leo Jepsen, tells BT that more reports are still ticking in from angry customers. He also informs that the police are currently building a case against the Bonus Travel boss, and that they are 99,9 pct. Sure that he is hiding in Southeast Asia.
“We are looking into the possibilities of having him turned over by the local authorities,” Mr. Per Leo Jepsen states.
